Tharpa Choling Monastery Library Cum Museum was established to fulfill the society’s objectives and the late Second Domo Geshe Rinpoche’s wishes, aiming to preserve, promote, and protect Buddhism, literature, arts, culture, and traditions in all forms. In 2014, the second Domo Geshe Rinpoche’s residence was converted into a library and museum, jointly inaugurated by Third Domo Geshe Rinpoche Tenzin Jigmey Lhundup and His Excellency Gyalo Dondup on December 15. Due to growing visitor numbers and the significance of the collections, a new library, museum, and research center complex was constructed, providing a larger space for collections and a dedicated scholar area. This new complex was inaugurated on April 13, 2024, marking a significant milestone in the region’s cultural and educational landscape.
